What makes Ketchikan Sights thrilling is the fact that you may spend time hiking, walking and running.

The Deer Mountain Trailhead. This is considered the most challenging trail in Ketchikan found near the trailhead of Ketchikan. This hiking trail has a length of 2.5 miles and at its end, you will find the Deer Mountain's own Recreation Cabin. If you want to continue hiking up to the summit, you must be very careful because it can be harmful due to the altitude and poor weather conditions.

Long Lake Trail. This 1.3-mile trail stretches from a point at Behm Narrows to the sanctuary of Long Lake.

Naha River Trail. This trail is 5.4 miles long and stretches from the dock of Naha Bay Dock up to the cabin of Heckman Lake. The path goes by the cabin of Jordan Lake and the shelter of the Naha River. It is considered superb for wildlife watching, camping, hiking and fishing.

Margaret Creek Fish Ladder. This is situated 26 miles north of the city of Ketchikan and is considered an excellent location for watching bears and fish. During August, you can watch from the top and bottom of a fish ladder while 10 bears provide food for the fully developed salmon.

Silvis Lake Picnic Area. The area has a fire ring and two picnic tables. It is situated one mile from the trail of John Mountain starting from the Beaver Falls Power House. You can only reach the area by hiking.

Salmon Glacier. This place coils far above the ground to the top of the glacier. It gives breathtaking sceneries of wildflowers, alpine meadows and mountains. This glacier follows the shape of the letter "t" thus forming the waters of Salmon River.
