Monuments and Landmarks

It is also at times, called as the “town on the hill”. Some of the important monuments and landmarks of the city are St. Peter’s Collegiate Church, St. John’s Church which was built in the year 1760, St. Peters Church Gardens, which is the oldest creation of man in the city, the Wolverhampton art gallery, the Lone Rider, the Prince Albert statue and the statue if Lady Wulfrun which was created by Sir Charles Wheeler and which had marked in the centenary of the newspaper in 1974.
