Hawaii (surnamed The Aloha State) is a State of the United States of America, situated in the Pacific Ocean, at about 4000 kilometers from San Francisco. It is constituted of 112 islands of which 8 are more important: Niihau, Kauai, Oahu, Molokai, Lanai, Kahoolawe, Maui and Hawaii. Hawaii is the only state that has two official languages: English and Hawaiian – a Polynesian language, but more than 74% speak English and the only state that is not on the continent. With its 28,337 km², it has 1,211,537 inhabitants (ranked 42nd) and its capital is Honolulu.

The maximal temperatures go through the year from 26°C in January to 32°C in August and the minimal ones from 19°C in January and 23°C in August.

In June 2006, The Unites States created the largest protected sea area “The National Marine Monument of the Northwestern Hawaiian Islands” that covers 36 million sea hectares, with corals reefs, over 7000 sea species and the endangered species such as the Hawaiian seal and the green Hawaiian turtle.

The Hawaiian Islands will welcome you with its traditions: the Hula dance, the surf activities (Hawaii one of the biggest wave to be surfed – 24 meters, in 1998), the traditional tattoo – Kakau, the massage: Lomilomi, or the music: Ukulele or Xaphoon.
