New York Getaways

New York has been a top destination for decades and it still holds the record of being one of the most visited cities in America. The amount of things you can see and do in one of the most popular cities of U.S is equal to its size.

Planning your trip depends on the amount of time you have at your disposal and on the budget you have. You can spend from a few bucks to thousands. Anybody is welcomed to visit this great metropolis.

If you have only a few days at your disposal of course you will start with the greatest attractions: the Statue of Liberty which is the city’s symbol, the world-famous skyscraper: the Empire State Building, Lincoln Center, Rockefeller Center, Central Park, NBC Studios, MTV Studios, Ellis Island, Central Park West, American Museum of Natural History, the Metropolitan Museum of Art and famous neighborhoods like Garment District, Chinatown, Union Square or Greenwich Village.

Evening entertainment will be ensured by the Broadway shows.
To make the best of your New York vacation it is better to sign up for a tour especially if you are a first time visitor. This way you will make the most of your time and visit as much as possible in a few days. It could not be the cheapest deal but it is certainly not very expensive. Wandering by yourself in New York is not the best idea for a first timer who wants to see a lot in a short time.

You don’t need much planning ahead as you will find plenty of tour operators and touristic information near the airport or railway station. Booking a tour or a room over the net will make things much easier though. You will get an idea about how much the trip will cost and plan accordingly. Cheap deals are easy to find if you take your time to browse through the offers.

Here is a brief outline of how you can organize your stay. First thing you check into your hotel, rest for a while then explore the area around your hotel a bit to get accustomed to the atmosphere. Getting around the city is easy as the streets are numbered, they don’t have names which makes orientation a piece of cake. Then get a bird’s eye view of the city from the Statue of Liberty, Empire State Building Observatory or from The View restaurant. You’ll get great views from both and at the restaurant you can charge your batteries having a great meal while enjoying a 360º view from the rooftop that is revolving.
Back on earth sightseeing can continue with a bus tour on a double decker. You can hop on and off the bus as you please and take your time to see the sights in depth.

You can’t miss Ground Zero which is a rich historic area, Madame Tussaud’s or the Bronx Zoo.

No matter how much you can cover in one day of visit there will always be more attractions left to see for your next visit to the city that awaits its visitors day and night.

Go to see the city that never sleeps and you will be sorry you have to and thus diminish your visiting time.
