This luxurious place started with Henry Flagler a railroad developer who together with other developers contributed to the development of the settlement. He wanted the place to shine and he did a very good job and put the basis for what you can see now. He built hotels and other amenities but also created a place for workers at West Palm Beach.

Since then a lot has improved and now Palm Beach is a place of luxury and sometimes a place to show off of the rich but you can ignore that and spend a really wonderful winter vacation in a special atmosphere.

Being a small island town, Palm Beach has a really intimate feel, one that will make you feel at home and blend in really quickly.

The fashion is still going on and Palm Springs is on top as being one of the oldest destinations for VIPs. It’s a civilized place, clean and where order prevails. You can only get on the island on 3 bridges and everything is monitored so you’ll never see huge crowds stumbling to visit the sights.

The town occupies only a very small percentage of the land comprised in the Palm Beach County land so if you feel that you’d need more space to explore there’s plenty of open space to visit like the area of Lake Okeechobee. A very sought place for the great fishing opportunities it offers and the Wildlife refuge.

The coast is magnificent to visit and it is quite unspoiled.
