Warwick (in which the middle ‘w’ is silent) happens to be a county town for the Warwickshire County which is located somewhere in the western midland region within England. One should note that county town is actually the capital for any county in the country of England. This county town of Warwickshire lies on the sides of Avon River.

Warwick is around four kilometers away from the spa town of Warwickshire. This spa town is famous by the name of Royal Leamington Spa. Also the county town of Warwick is around 18 kilometers away from the city of Coventry.

As per the census or year 2001 the population for this county town is around 26000 inhabitants. With the jump in population the county town of Warwick was officially attached with many other neighboring towns and hence a district was formed. The headquarters for this newly formed district are at Royal Leamington Spa which is also part of this district.

The fact that Warwick was the capital county for the Warwickshire helped it grow exponentially in almost every field. This led to the jump in number of educational institutions for students who were keen to learn more. Some of the famous institutions in this town of Warwick are The King’s High School for Girls which is made exclusively for girls, the famous Warwick School which is only for boys, and two co - educational institutions namely Aylesford School and Myton School. These were few of the most famous institutions in the town of Warwick which you will surely appreciate.

Three huge hospitals are also part of this town. The names of these hospitals are St. Michael’s Hospital. Royal Leamington Spa Hospital, and the famous Warwick Hospital.

The town of Warwick has also been gifted with two very modern highways namely A 46 trunk road and M 40 Motorway. The town has also been gifted with many railway lines which connect it with the famous neighbors like Birmingham, London, and Stratford - upon - Avon. This service is provided by Chiltern Railways. The trains that connect these places run from two different railways stations. The first is the Warwick Railway Station and the second was started somewhere in year 2000 and is situated some distance out of the town. It is named as Warwick Parkway.
