Reading Borough Libraries

It is a public library in Reading. The library is funded and controlled by borough council of Reading. There are seven branches of Reading Borough Library and each library features thousands of books.

Ure Museum of Greek Archaeology

Ure Museum is a part of the University of Reading. Museum has a number of collectibles from different civilizations including Mediterranean, Romans, Greek and Etruscan ceramics. It also has Egyptian Antiques. The museum is open to public throughout the week.

Harris Garden

It is a botanical garden situated in the University of Reading. Established in 1972, covers more than 12 acres of space. The garden is used for research by the university researchers and scientists. The garden is open to public on occasionally. A palaeobotanist Professor Tom Harris named this garden.

Museum of English Rural Life

This museum was founded in 1951 by the University of Reading. There is a full range of collectibles and antiques including films, archives, photographs, books and different types of objects. The new campus of the museum is located in the center of the city. It was previously named as St. Andrews Hall and East Thorpe House.

Cole Museum of Zoology

It is a part of the Biological sciences of the University of Reading. It was established in the 20th century. The Museum of Zoology showcases more than 3500 specimens of different kinds. The rare species of animals include Indian circus elephant skeleton, False Killer Whale skeleton, 5 meter Reticulated Python skeleton and a fossil of a large spider. The museum is open to public throughout the week.

Museum of Berkshire Aviation

It features a wonderful collection of aviation. Museum is situated on the edge of Woodley Airfield. A number of exhibits are hosted at this museum throughout the year. Some of the most popular aircrafts collection includes A Miles Martinet target-towing aircraft, A Miles Magister two seat basic trainer and A Fairey Jet Gyrodyne.

Coley Park

It is a small town of Reading. It is bordered with Berkeley Avenue, Holy Brook and Basingstoke to the West. Coley Park has been used as an aircraft field in the II World War. Berkshire Independent Hospital is also located in the area of Coley Park.
