Glasgow, UK – Nightlife

Glasgow in United Kingdom has a rocking nightlife that can put many of the world’s greatest party haunts to shame. This article features a few of the top nocturnal destinations of Glasgow, famed for their kickass entertainment.

The Cathouse

Immerse yourself into the multi-storied darkness of this gothic palace that lives up to its billing as a dangerous feline dance club that has squashed the living daylights out of its rival dance halls and discotheques.

Thursday nights feature Indies’ pop, metal and hard rock music and witness a lot of head banging sessions and jiving among long haired moshers complete with tattoos and body piercings. For a more toned down experience visit the disco on Wednesdays when the crowd pulling attractions are funk, punk and disco.

Hit the night spot before 11 p.m. to gain discounts on entry. It is a massive hit with loyalists and students and the dress code is the predictable killer black.

Bennets Disco

If you wish to see and be seen head straight to the popular party address of Bonnets to sample the rocking nights, to check out the cool chicks and hot babes and dashing dudes who regularly flock to this 2 decades old joint.

The double storied discotheque has recently undergone renovation and the revamped address is also the most happening gay dance bar in Scotland’s Merchant City.

Dress codes are strict and you have to stand in long queues to gain an entry and catch live bands and rock metal bands belt out ear crashing music. Pop music scores a hit with the guests.

Nice n Sleazy

Pool tables, lounge areas, cozy booths, semi dark bars, a smoking atmosphere, and live local bands and wannabe pop artists are the main attractions of this nightclub. Good quality bar food, lots of veggie and leafy delicacies, and premier liquor are the other top draws here.

Here you can rub shoulders with all the hot and happening music bands and celebrities but your cool quotient will be severely jeopardized/compromised if you pull out your autograph book.

Lismore

The dress code strictly disallows wearing colors, so it is difficult to discern football fanatics. But it is made up for by live folk music bands, good quality liquor, a nostalgic environment with wooden accents and highly affordable price rates.

The most adorable feature of this bar with an old world charm is the sing along with the bands that is permitted and the atmosphere is cozy, intimate and homely.
