Lampang is a city located in Thailand and it is visited by great numbers of tourists every year who come from all parts of the world. The place is also a home of some of the most incredible temples of the world and has a very large Chinese community.

Lampang Thai Elephant Conservation Center

It lies on the very main road to Mai airport. This place has some of the best of the elephants that you could have ever seen. It is advisable that you make reservations prior to visiting the place.

Doi Luang National Park

As Thailand is a very beautiful place, it has a lot of incredible flora and fauna to offer to its tourists. Doi Luang National Park is among the best and the largest of the parks of North Thailand. The park was established in the year 1900 after combining the Champa Thong Waterfall Park, Pu Gaeng Waterfall Park, Bha Gred Naak Waterfall Park and the Wang Gaew Waterfall Park. Now the park actually covers an area of about 1170 km2. The park proudly sprawls over 3 provinces, the Payao, Lampang and the Chiang Rai.

Wat Phra Kaeo Don Tao

It is a religious site in Lampang. As it is also a historical site, it is of much interest among the tourists that come from far and wide to see its splendor and style.

Wat Phra Tat Lampang Luang (Sedan Chair)

It is another of the very famous religious sites and is quite famous among the travelers.

The Burmese temples

The Buddhist monasteries and the temples that are built in the Burmese style are among the much south after tourist attractions in Lampang. These Burmese temples help in maintaining the religious and the cultural heritage of the Lampang alive and also in perpetuating Buddhism religion all over.

Wat Sri Choom

It is the biggest of the Burmese traditional styled Buddhist temples in Lampang, Thailand. It is situated opposite to Alfalah Mosque. The temple is called so as the old Wat Sri Choom comprised of a temple that was surrounded by the banyan or the bodhi trees, one rest house or the sala and a well with no monk resident in charge.
