As the sun sets and offices close for the night, the city of Malmo turns into a lively place fit for nocturnal teenagers and the young adults. Malmo Nightlife presents many pubs, bars, and clubs where people can stay all throughout the night to drink, dance and be merry. Take a peek at some of the cool choices to go to.

Malmo Nightlife – Bars and Pubs

City locals and tourists alike have many bars to choose from to unwind after a day’s work or a day of touring the attractions. People can find themselves immersed in the atmosphere of a traditional Swedish pub like those seen in Stockholm Nightlife or a more modern American-inspired one. Whatever it is that a person looks for, Malmo has it.

Tant Gertrud. This bar is particularly famous for its appealing and exquisite ambience. All-nighters can start having fun in this bar as early as four in the afternoon from Mondays to Fridays. Every weekend, patrons of the bar are treated to a nice buffet and great music.

Bishop Arms. The bar has a very traditional style interior with walls made of red bricks and a fireplace. The bar serves both authentic Swedish food and modern cuisine. The location of the bar, vaulted cellars of the town hall, adds up to the traditional ambience of the Bishop Arms.

Pickwick Pub. This is known as the most famous British Pub in Malmo because of its authentic English atmosphere. The only worry though is that Pickwick Pub is always so crowded.

Malmo Nightlife – Nightclubs

Get ready with your dancing shoes for nightclubs in Malmo will definitely make anyone dance the night away.

Swing Inn Nightclub. This is a themed nightclub that plays music mostly from the 70s, 80’s and 90’s. Apart from the dance floor, Swing Inn also treats guests with bars and casino.

Chokladfabriken. The nightclub’s name translated as Chocolate Factory is one of the popular places to go to for a good time. Do not be deceived by the old façade of this nightclub for it will surely make anyone dance to the wee hours of the morning. Situated at an old chocolate factory, Chokladfabriken is open every Saturday and on some occasions, it opens on Fridays.

Malmo Nightlife – Special Night Destinations

Apart from pubs/bars and nightclubs, the city of Malmo has special night destinations for people who have other things in mind apart from drinking and dancing. Malmo Nightlife, in this respect, becomes closely linked to Gothenburg Nightlife.

Wonk. This is a club dubbed after the amazing drag queen Wonk. The club’s doors are open only on Saturdays. Wonk consists of two bars and two dance floors – one with superstar disk jockeys and the other with pop floor.

Casino Cosmopol. People who are keen to a little bit of gambling, the Casino Cosmopol is the place for them. Visitors of the casino are treated with a special package consisting of the admission, meal and an introduction to gaming. Its environment that is both unique and thrilling will surely entice visitors.

With all these options provided in Malmo Nightlife, who will ever say that extending the tour up to the wee hours of the morning is a bore? Indeed, the city boasts of many lively options.

Lilla Torg is Malmo's nicest square. It is part of the old downtown and there are a lot of great pubs and restaurants there.

All the buildings are very old here, mostly from the 16th - 17th century. They are in very good condition, all built in traditional Swedish style. It's like the town 400 years before.

Inside the buildings there are great pubs, restaurants and shops. These are not cheap at all, it is true, but the feeling is really amazing.

You can always enjoy a great walk on the busy square. In the summer season many restaurants and pubs have their tables outside. During the winter there is a skating rink in the center if Lilla Torg, it is a lot of fun!
