Las Palmas Nightlife, Spain

Las Palmas is a city that offers a vibrant and varied nightlife. There is something for everyone; whether it is dancing, drinks, gambling or perhaps a small stroll on the beach Las Palmas has it.

The restaurants and bars in Las Palmas are more traditional with true Canarian culture where you can party all night long. Keeping with tradition, you party in Spanish style here with salsa music, cover bands, jazz and live bands once the sun goes down in Las Palmas.

Of course, there are a few small South American bars found in Las Palmas, and some Irish pubs. However whichever bar you head to, be warned that the big joints tend to get really crowded as the night goes on. Though Las Palmas is generally a safe city, after partying, it is advisable to avoid dark streets, especially those in the Puerto and port area.

A quiet evening in Las Palmas

The commercial nightlife area of Las Palmas is Franch Roca where you find a large Salsa Club called Wilsons, a Karaoke called Ghost, live music in Treinta and the famous hotel of Las Palmas Santa Catalina where you can try your luck in numerous salsa and beauty contests.

El Muelle is a shopping center with more of a young clientele, and is where you find one of the largest Las Palmas clubs, La Marquesina. There are also some late night joints here that start at 3 am, like Camel Bar and Pacha. And if you are looking for gay nightlife, just head to Miau of Secretario Artiles.

If you are not the party animal, or just want to relax at night, you can always fancy a quiet evening with a hearty meal and then a long and relaxing stroll on the harbor. There are numerous seaside restaurants for you to choose your cuisine for your relaxing night.

Answer lady luck’s knock

In addition to all this, Las Palmas also has something to offer if you feel that lady luck is knocking, which is a casino. The Gran Casino Las Palmas is part of the Hotel Santa Catalina. The casino has a blackjack table, two French roulette tables, a poker table and over fifty slot machines for you to try your luck in.

There is however a minimum gaming age of 10 to enter the casino and some ID like a passport will be required for entrance. Dress code is proper while languages spoken here include English, Spanish, German and French.

Whatever your idea of a great night may be, Las Palmas has something for you, your family and even your group of friends.
