Singapore is a great place, party European, and partly Asian. It's one of the most diverse places due to the mix between the traditional and the modern aspects of the city. While you have sky scrapers, you can also see the old school Asian markets. Very nice place indeed...

Boat Quay is a nice place to hang out, it's more touristy and modern, but has some good bars and restaurants.
At night go for Mohamed Sultan Road, which is a very fun cultural experience, some cool bars and clubs.
After going out, you should end your night at a hawker center, an open food market where you can eat fresh fish until early morning.
