Serbia Travel Guide

Serbia – The Land of the long Weekend

If you are planning to spend some time learning about a unique nation or just travel to unfamiliar landscapes, take a full-pack journey or spend no more then two restless nights, you found the suitable place which provides more then you can imagine. Yes, Serbia is the perfect combination for both fastidious and informal ones!

Serbia travel guide-How can you get there?

This magnificent country is found in the South-Eastern part of Europe. In 2006 The Federation of Serbia and Montenegro had collapsed and since then Serbia has developed its own economy. While this heaven offers a big variety of landscapes, you could choose to travel by train. You should also take into consideration a more contemporaneous way of reaching your destination, and that would be air-traveling – of course, unless you choose not to travel with your personal car!

Serbia travel guide -What’s next?

There are many sightseeing spots, but the ones recommended are those related to the history of Serbia. The Cathedral of Saint Sava it’s a commemorative building, impressive from the very medieval sight reminding of Saint Sava – the founder of the Serbian Orthodoxism. This Cathedral is situated in the capital of Serbia – Belgrade, the height of this monument is 82 meters and its construction carried on for 69 years (from 1934 to 2005). And if you still have time to spend in Belgrade, why not visit the Kalemegdan Citadel? This historical monument is the result of many influences borrowed from Austro-Hungarian and Ottoman Empires, and at this very moment it also serves as an observatory.

Other place that strongly asks you to visit, while you find yourself in Serbia, it is the Danube. Its beautiful shape along with the sharpest rocks make you feel like a bird dashing into the wild. Walls reaching up to 600 meters can transform even the bravest into shy amateurs when it comes to rock climbing – which is a very popular sport in that area.

Serbia travel guide -So, how will your trip end?

Judging after a Serbian Saying (“Grandma gave a dinar to dance and two to stop”), we should think at a very moment about the end of our trip, shouldn’t we? Well... if you still have some money to spend and your hollidays are not over yet, you can choose to harmonise youself with nature by clear-viewing Serbia’s landscapes.

Hope you’ll enjoy yourselves!
