Calarasi Nightlife, Romania

Even if Calarasi does not have the bustling nightlife to be found in cities like Bucharest and Timisoara, it is a city with an active nightlife where tourists and locals can spend some quality time in one of the numerous restaurants, clubs or pubs in town.

Calarasi, Nightlife – Restaurants and Pubs

Whether you are passing by Calarasi and want to taste the local gastronomic specialties, having a business meeting over dinner or you simply want to have your lunch or dinner in town, the city’s diverse and numerous restaurants will welcome you anytime.

One of the most popular restaurants here is Monica-Chiciu Restaurant, a wonderful place located on the banks of the river, offering a spectacular landscape over the waters of the Danube and delicious traditional cuisine. The restaurant’s specialties are dishes based on fish caught directly from the waters of the Danube but also other Romanian traditional dishes.

Another good option for a delicious meal in town is Carusso Restaurant and Micro Restaurant, both offering good food in a friendly atmosphere and quite inexpensive.

People can also find in Calarasi restaurants serving international cuisine like the Italian, Turk or Asian restaurants. These places are not many but offer an alternative for the locals, the opportunity to discover delicious traditional dishes from other countries.

Calarasi, Nightlife – Bars

Calarasi offers a wide variety of bars and cafes located all over the city, in the old city center, near the port or other busy places. Some of the most representative venues are Classic Bar, Café Minerva and Café Venice, all of them offering besides different types of hot and cold drinks also several pastry products. Every bar or café welcomes customers in a different and unique ambiance, from the ones with a certain national theme like the Oriental, Italian, French ones and so on, to the ones concentrated only on young customers thus offering a modern design, music and characteristic menu.

Calarasi, Nightlife – Clubs

Though small, this city has three popular clubs visited mostly by young people and located in the centre of town. These two locations are Mercur Club, La Ferma Club and Privilege Club, clubs which offer good music in a pleasant atmosphere on every night of the week. On special occasions live concerts of famous Romanian singers or bands may take place here, gathering a large number of people every time.

La Ferma Club is one of the unconventional such places in town and still representative for the nightlife in Calarasi. It is an outdoor club part of a tourist complex which also offers accommodation, a restaurant and organizes hunting trips. The club’s activity is seasonal and is held near this tourist complex offering mainly electronic music, sometimes organizing marathon parties where famous Romanian and foreign DJs are invited.

Most such places are ideal for having some fun in a friendly atmosphere. Calarasi nightlife has everything to help you relax for a few hours and get rid of the stress and problems of every day life.
