Barlad Nightlife, Romania

Barlad, Nightlife – Eating Out

Barlad is a small town, in Moldavia, the Eastern part of Romania, at a 2-hour distance from the region’s most important city, Iaşi. Therefore, despite its size and due to its being so close to Iaşi, Barlad Nightlife will meet anyone’s expectations regarding the idea of fun and going out.

Barlad is like a great outdoor patio in itself, being embellished with flower pots at every step. Which is why restaurants must keep up with the atmosphere outside and attract people inside, too and they do it successfully. One good example is Alona Restaurant, with a 300 places capacity, offering you tasteful traditional dishes in a warm and relaxing atmosphere. Going out of Barlad to Vaslui, you can find Fabian Restaurant, with a 200 places capacity, an outdoor patio and a pool. You will enjoy eating out here due to its rustic style that will get you better acquainted with Romanian traditions. In the centre of Barlad, near the local market, you will find Arcadia Restaurant, which is waiting for you to spend lovely moments there with your friends and family.

Barlad, Nightlife – Clubbing

Eating out usually means going dancing afterwards; happily, Barlad Nightlife will not let you down when clubs are involved. One of the oldest and most representative clubs in town is Iguana Club, having a unique design and music to match its high standards. Renowned Romanian artists have come to sing here so if you are lucky enough you may happen to go there on such an occasion. Another popular club is Monden Club Infinity, newly opened, which is waiting for anyone ready to have fun and party. If you want something different as well, you might try a dancing evening organized at the Privighetoarea (Nightingale) Inn, which can be found on the outskirts of Barlad, on the way to Tecuci.

Barlad, Nightlife – Attending Cultural Events

An evening at the Victor Ion Popa Theatre should be first on your cultural agenda in Barlad. You can choose a comedy play and you are in for fun the entire evening. Another relaxing way of spending your evening could be at the N.N.Tonitza Art Gallery, opened in the memory of N. Tonitza, one of the most famous Romanian painters, born, of course, in Barlad. Another important artist born here is Marcel Guguianu, the collection of whom is hosted by the Marcel Guguianu Museum Complex that is opened opposite the Vasile Parvan Museum. What you should know about this sculptor is that he has a collection named after him at Contess Madelaine in New York and participations at many international exhibitions.

All in all, you will not regret spending time in Barlad as you will find out more about the spirit of Romanian people in general and of people in Moldavia in particular. If you have visited all there is to visit in this region, you should not skip another important one, in the North West of Romania, Maramureş. You can read about the emblematic cities of this region in Satu Mare Travel Guide and Baia Mare Travel Guide.
