Dilasag Nightlife, Philippines

Dilasag’s nightlife is solely on its stretch beach resorts. Although, the sand is not really as great as Boracay, it is a good place to relax and get in touch with nature. You have to go to the center of entertainment of this province which is Baler. You will find less of the urban nightlife mood here, you can experience instead the famous sing-along partying. A Karaoke and sing-along night is almost a national hobby of every Filipino that is becoming a regular happening in both classy and cheap party venue. In Baler it’s ideally better to go around these places with a companion or come in a group so you will not bore yourself all throughout the night.

Baler’s nightlife is well spent in restaurants, karaoke bars, resorts with cottages and private room rentals and mostly in cheap poorly built nipa huts which were converted into clubs. One of those cheap clubs is the karaoke bar and restaurant.

Check the Baler Guest House which was said to be the very first lodging place along the beach that also serve alcoholic beverages for hype travelers. The daughter of the ex-mayor of the city is managing it. You will find a fan room with two convenient beds, one small table and a bathroom often with a broken knob. For a rate of 300 pesos you can stay here for a complete day. If you’re up for a little perky night and want to lay low on beach houses, partying the local disco houses is another option. The only disco houses that are in Baler are Maharaja Discotheque and Cocohut that hold a nightly all-female band performance.

The Maharaja Discotheque is the oldest running disco house in the town and previous customers find the spot very cheap although it has a bad record of local shootings mostly triggered by drunken customers. The Cocohut on the other hand has dance halls where customers can take a few dancing steps on the move and take in beer at the same time. It holds an all-female show-band also every night. It’s not a classy club and most of the people that come here are locals that will get drunk until the wee time of the morning. It’s cheap and has bad service according to outside visitors.

For a better dining, it is recommended that you try Bay’s Inn. It is recommended to visitors because of the good food it serves. In addition, the general price for everything is manageable and the amenities are fairly convenient.

Another beachfront place where you can spend a little partying during the night is Baystore popularly called by locals as Tiago’s. Drink as many beers as you want inside the old nipa cottages of the club and pay cheap appetizers such as the club’s usual rellenong bangus and beef steak. You can also spend the night here and rent their wooden huts for only 100 pesos.

Finally, a classy restaurant in Baler where you can dine in is called Bahia De Baler which is also under the management of the Governor’s Resort and Restaurant. It is a structure of well-built glass walls, impressive interiors, large tables and a number of uniformed waiters.

You will not have a better choice but to head a few meters away from the area of Dilasag itself to experience all these extreme and interesting night party venues.
