Casiguran is one of the largest towns in the province of Sorsogon, Philippine. It is situated in the northern part of the province. The town of Casiguran is bordered with Dinalungan, Dilasag, Quirino and by the Pacific Ocean in the south. According to a recent consensus, the population of Casiguran is more than 40,000 people. According to the local folks and legends the name of the Caisugran derived from “Kasaguruhan", which means safety. The town of Casiguran was founded by the Spanish Missionaries in the 1600. Dumagats and Aetas tribes are recorded to be the first settlers of Casiguran. Different dialects were used by these people. Some of the most popular dialects were Bicolano, Ilokano, Visayan and Pampango.
