From city landmarks to resorts, museums to parks, and shopping malls to churches, everything shines through Caloocan. This third most peopled city in northern Manila is also an abode to three universities, a blossoming economy and livelier shopping spree.

Surely, you’ll have the time of your life to discover what a thriving city Caloocan is. As you reach your destination, you don’t want to waste anymore time in getting to the chief landmark, which is the Bonifacio Monument, situated at the crossroads of Epifanio De Los Santos Avenue (EDSA) and Rizal Avenue. The headstone was sculptured by Gillermo Tolentino in honor of the world-renowned Father of the Philippine Revolution, Andres Bonifacio. His bravery remains in the hearts of the residents and it also reflects the fearlessness of the town.

 The Judicial Complex is another landmark that depicts Caloocan’s boldness. It was built to host the Office of the Prosecutor, Metropolitan Trial Court and Regional Trial Court. Its inauguration on November 19, 2003 was graced by Chief Justice of the Philippines Hilario Davide. For some holy moments, you might want to swing by San Roque Cathedral. Its importance is noteworthy in that the world’s most loved Holy Pope John Paul II formed the new Diocese of Caloocan and advanced it to the prestige of a Cathedral Church on June 28, 2003.

You might be nosy about where the first train trip was done in 1892. You can head to Philippine National Railways where you will also spot the Horace Higgins Hall at the end curve of C. Apostol and M. Hizon streets. The hall was linked to significant historical happenings and powerful foreign architectural impact. Giving much pride to Caloocan resident is its Tala Leprosarium that’s famed as the most aged leprosy hospital in Asia established in 1940. Another remarkable landmark of Caloocan is the Manila Central University, which is the first co-ed school in town founded in 1904. More city sights to spot are Caloocan Commercial Complex and Gotesco Grand Central Shopping Mall where the main station of Manila Light Railway Transit System is situated.

If you’re up for a resort hop, then be ready to take sight of Gubat Ciudad Resort famed for having seven various pools, Luzviminda Resort dubbed as the habitat of the castle sliders, Grogun Health Resort known for being clandestine resort, and Villa Celedonia Valley Resort flocked for its three pools and children’s park.
