Baganga, the Philippines – Overview

Baganga is one of the largest municipalities in the province of Davao Oriental, the Philippine. It is a coastal town to the eastern part of the country and serves as a great tourist spot. It is situated next to Caraga. Its population is more than 50,000 inhabitants. The area of Baganga is subdivided into approximately 18 barangays. Some of the major barangays include Binondo, Lambajon, Upper Mikit, San Victor, Baculin, Binondo and Campawan etc. Agriculture and fishing are the major industries of the area.

Baganga’s tropical climate and beautiful landmarks have made it a wonderful tourism haven. Blue crystal clear waters and winding roads welcome you when you enter Baganga. There are bountiful sights, landmarks, beaches, forest and historical places.

Baganga is a typhoons-free place. It is an ideal land for rice and many other corps. The seas of Baganga are full of fishes of different species.

The beaches of Davao Oriental serve for skim-boarding, snorkeling, diving and sailing throughout the year. Davao Oriental is also known as the sunrise capital of the Philippine. Here, the sun shines first and the Philippines day begins.

Masoo Beach is another great attraction for the tourists from all over the world. Baganga is also the largest producer of coconut in the Philippine, being regarded as the country’s coconut capital.
