Bacarra Travel Guide, Philippines

Bacarra is one of the major towns in the province of Ilocos Norte, Philippines. Bacarra’s history expanded over a few hundred years. Bacarra is administered by 131 elected town executives. The town of Bacarra has been politically divided into the 43 barangays. Some of the major Barangays includes Bani, Pulangi, Pasngal, Sangil, Corocor, Cabaruanm, Nambaran, Calioet-Libong, Pipias and Paninaan etc.

Bacarra has a population of more than 35,000 people. Most of the population is linked with agriculture and industries.

Some major educational institutes include Bacarra National Comprehensive High School, Bacarra National Comprehensive HS and St. Andrew Academy etc. The small town of Bacarra has some popular tourist attractions including St. Andrew Church, Lazo Ancestral Home, Ruins of Vijia Watchtower, Bacarra Municipal Hall, Bacarra Municipal Park, Libtong-Teppang Irrigation Tunnel, Bacarra Plaza, Addo Velasco, Velasco Pacifico and many other places of historical importance. The culture and traditions of Bacarra are famous throughout the Philippines.

Some of the well known cultural attractions in Bacarra are Bac-Bacarra Festival, Farmer's Festival, Natba Beach and Delta Tourism and the "Sabet" on Easter Sunday. People are very lovely and they welcome the guests with great respect. The town of Bacarra also has some small hotels and guesthouses to accommodate the guests and tourists.
