The rest 60 percent was under the control of other pirates or left unused. He created many gardens around this fort during the early 19th century and used to earn huge money by selling his slaves to neighboring countries like Cuba. These days only a part of this fort is alive while the rest has become history. Another attraction along with the remains of this for is the nearby zoo.
