Jodhpur was founded by the Rajput Rathore clan chief, Rao Jodha in the year 1459 A.D. The name of Jodhpur has been given after him. It is one of the most popular cities in the tourism map of India. You may visit Jodhpur any time of the year. Earlier it was called Marwar, but now it is known as Jodhpur. It is among the biggest cities in the sate of Rajasthan.  Jodhpur is also popularly called “The Sun City” because of the weather which is sunny and bright.
