Hyderabad is a capital of Andhra Pradesh. Hyderabad ha s a long history that begins with Qutub Shahi dynasty. It has a software technology park with the leading companies like Wipro, Park International, UUNET and TCS. It is hub of the major Information Technology companies of India.
The history of Hyderabad is dominated by Nizams, forests, tanks and rock formations. It is also known as the city of Nizams and the city of Pearls. The history of Hyderabad has links back to 500 BC and the discovery of the numerous iron-age sites have proved it.
Muhammad Quli Qutb Shah founded the city of Hyderabad on the banks of the Musi River in 1591. The Mughal Emperor captured this city in 1687.
The successor of Asaf Jah's ruled this city as Nizams. Hyderabad was ruled by seven Nizams and the city witnessed an economical and agricultural growth during this period. Huge reservoirs were built in this city including Osman Sagar, Nizam Sagar and Tungabhadra.
The grandeur and the wealth of the Nizams were proven by the Jewels of Nizams. Based on the Telugu speaking community, Hyderabad and the surrounding areas were added to Andhra Pradesh. The city of Hyderabad maintains its ancient culture and traditions.
