Dhanbad is a city located in the Indian State of Jharkhand. Some years back Dhanbad was a unknown city on Indian map but in last few years the city of Dhanbad has gained huge economical importance and this has helped it come under the top 100 cities of this planet which are growing at unexpected rates. Dhanbad happens to be the third largest city of Jharkhand and is famous by the name of Coal Capital of India due to the ever growing coal industry of the region.

There aren’t many tourist hot spots in this city but since its huge growth the number of tourists has slowly increased and so have the places which tourists can visit.

The most famous tourist hot spot of Dhanbad is the Maithon Lake which is said to cover an area of 65 kilometer square. This lake is around 45 kilometers away from the Railway Station of Dhanbad thus making it easy for the tourists to hit this lake. To add to the shine of this lake is a deer park and a bird sanctuary which are located in the proximity of this lake. These three act as perfect ingredients so as to become a must visit tourist spot in Dhanbad.

Bhatinda Fall is another tourist hot spot of Dhanbad. This beautiful water fall is around 14 kilometers from the Railway Station of Dhanbad and is located near the munidih area. This water fall is famous for its lush green environment and it is famous for the huge crowd which it attracts during the winter season due to the favorable environment.

Chark - Khurd located in Tundi region is another tourist hot spot which is famous for the hot water springs which it regularly emits. Another famous tourist spot is Panchet, a beautiful dam with great surroundings, which is located around 55 kilometers from the Railway Station of Dhanbad.

Topchanchi Lake is another famous tourist spot in Dhanbad. This lake is surrounded by green forest and it is located near Golden quadrilateral. Topchanchi Lake is just 37 kilometers from the Railway Station of Dhanbad thus making it easy for the tourists to visit this lake.
