Georgetown is located on the Atlantic coast, on the mouth of the river Demerara and it has an estimated population of 240.000, serving as the country’s administrative and financial centre. The Parliament Building and the City Hall (built in typical neo-Gothic style) are to be found further to the south and, if you head up north, your children will be delighted to visit the Splashmins Fun Park and see the famous landmark represented by Georgetown Lighthouse.
