Zoo Dresden. This is known as the 4th oldest zoo in Germany. It is found on the southern part of the Great Garden Park and first opened in 1861. Dresden was converted to a safe shelter for 600,000 refugees during the last months of World War II. The city had to endure 7 attacks from 1944 to 1945. The bombing that took place in Dresden History between February 13 and February 15, 1945 remains one of the most notorious Allied actions.
