Paris is definitely a traveler’s dream location. It is always been a well-loved and well-visited tourist attraction over the years. But the City of Light comes alive as the dark night falls. Tourists can spend an evening at quaint restaurants for local edibles, catch a famous cancan show or have a bash at several pubs and bars in the metropolis.  

Food 

Food, wine and drinks all abound in Paris. Traditional restaurants offer authentic and gourmet French cuisine at its best. Gastronomic dishes are prepared well with great gusto. L’ Ardoise is a bistro that serves inexpensive yet appetizing menus. The   L’ Astrance is an award–winning dining venue that offers superb dishes. Guests can also dine at La Tour d’ Argent with the view of the Seine and Notre-Dame; indulge in the luxurious Guy Savoy with its contemporary dishes or the Le Grand Véfour that serves à la carte menu; or try the more kitschy Buddha Bar which offers Japanese to Californian cuisine. The Goumard is a classic dining venue that has Asian and Mediterranean specialties while the  L’ Alcazar features a more contemporary setting coupled with modern music.

Drinks

Bars in Paris are more youth-oriented. Among the famous, trendy and stylish clubs is the Le Batofar, a remodeled lighthouse tugboat a chic club featuring electronic, techno and world-beat music. The China Club 50 includes a cigar and rum bar on the upstairs area and a live music venue below. The Au Lapin Agile offers a dose French cabaret. The Harry’s New York Bar offers the best Bloody Mary and a piano bar. For a more subtle and classy drinking experience, the bars at the Plaza Athénée or Ritz are great places to be in. They offer a unique and unforgettable Parisian experience.

The gay hubs of Paris are on Les Halles and Le Marais. The Café Cox is a favorite hang-out and is often jam-packed. Le Tropic Café is a place for hip crowd parties who revel in the wee hours. The Okawa and Le 3w are also a favorite happy hour places for trendy lesbians and gay men. 

Shows

A night of entertainment need not be expensive. Tourists can watch what is locally known as “the show” at Ile de la Cité just behind Notre Dame. It’s a famous attraction that features spontaneous shows like magicians, jugglers, fire-eaters, musicians and mimes.

Of course, the Parisian experience would never be complete without a visit to the Moulin Rouge. This all too famous attraction features several cabaret shows like the extravagant cancan performances. Moulin Rouge Paris still remains a top choice among tourists.

The Crazy Horse and the Le Lido Paris are also famous cabaret attractions.

Entertainment in Paris is known for its quality and variety. Considered as fanfare for the sense, Paris is a frequently hosts multitude of festivals, especially during summer. The Opéra Bastille and the Palais Garnier are two of Paris’ popular venue for ballet and opera productions.
