Nimes nightlife is incredibly exciting for anyone who finds themselves in the immediate vicinity; this also includes tourists. It may not be as exciting as the nightlife in Paris or Marseille, but there are a lot of well-known bars, cafés, pubs and nightclubs that are open until very late at night, which are ideal locations for night-time activities in Nimes, including La Comédie, Lulu Club, Café le Napoléon and Bar le Diagonale.

Nimes Nightlife – City Bars and Cafés

As mentioned earlier, there are quite a few interesting places to enjoy Nimes nightlife, of which Bar le Diagonale is one of them. Located at rue Emile-Jamais, number 41, Bar le Diagonale is the ideal spot for jazz enthusiasts to find their niche. In fact, it is known to be the most popular and leading jazz location in Nimes today. Huge crowds come here for mere jazz music appreciation and it is convenient for most since the entrance is completely free of charge. Bar le Diagonale is open every day, except Mondays, from 5:30pm until 2 in the morning.

For those who prefer music in the genre of rock, however, at rue de l’Agau, number 13, is definitely the place to be. Here, you will find Haddock Café, where Nimes’ intelligentsias are normally found. Plus, every week, rock concerts are staged in this area for those who like to raise a toast in the name of all things rock.

Another well-known and much-loved hangout is Café le Napoléon. This café at Victor-Hugo, number 42, offers both snacks and wine. What is interesting about this place, most of all, is that the crowd that it attracts is not merely students, but soldiers, as well.

Nimes Nightlife – City Nightclubs

Nimes nightlife also consists of several nightclubs. If you are interested in spending the most of your night dancing, take a trip to La Comédie, located at rue Jean-Reboul, number 28. A highly attractive and well-known spot for hip nightlife, youngsters find this place to be the ideal location for all-night dancing today.

If you prefer a more intimate space for nightclubbing that happens to be more flashy and modern, visit Lulu Club, located at Curaterie impasse, number 10. A lot of entertainment is present here that simply spells fun for people of every nationality and gender.

A lot of tourists may enjoy the late night entertainment that can be found at Nimes. But bars and nightclubs aside, Nimes nightlife also offer a lot of theater and concert halls for visitors to enjoy theatrical and opera performances. In fact, Le Théatre Municipal puts tickets on sale for special events like chamber-music and symphonic concerts, as well.
