The city of Aix - en - Provence (also called as Aix in short) is situated somewhere in southern section of France and is built on a hot spring. The city of Aix - en - Provence is located around one mile away from the bank of the nearby river and is located on a plain near the Arc. On the eastern side of Aix - en - Provence lies the huge Mount Sainte - Victoire. Even the slope of the city is from northern side to the southern side which proves that it isn’t located on complete flat land.

The location for this city of Aix - en - Provence gives it the warm temperature which the city regularly experiences. The city of Aix - en - Provence experiences the average temperature of around 5 degree Celsius in the month of January and the average temperature of around 22 degree Celsius during the month of July. The city experiences rain about 90 days in one complete year and around 300 of sunshine. The severe cold atmosphere rarely hits the city of Aix - en - Provence and hence the city is worth visiting due to the favorable temperature.

There are around 15 universities and research institutes in the city of Aix - en - Provence of which is one a military academy which regularly prepares many army personals with every passing year. The city of Aix - en - Provence has also become an important hub for international level study programs which regularly attracts many foreign students too.

The economical conditions for the city of Aix - en - Provence have always been appreciable and tourism industry has played an important role in this industry. Opera and dance have been one of them as the locals of the city and also the tourists that hit this city love opera very much. The computer industry is another important contributor to the economy of Aix - en - Provence as it has been to the economy of many other countries. Even a famous Chocolate industry namely Chocolaterie de Puyricard has become a trade mark for the city of Aix - en - Provence.

    The city is nice in the center. You can go shopping everywhere, also on the local markets. If you don't know where to go, just go to the tourist office.
