You will find, in the core of the medieval city, a wide range of restaurants and bars, all inviting you to spend a pleasant evening in the company of the beloved ones.

You will find in the core of the historic center many restaurants and bars, all having an alluring and coquette atmosphere. Wanha Laamanni Restaurant is just near the medieval cathedral of Porvoo, housed in an 18th century wooden building. The menu proposes Finn and international specialties that could be accompanied by wines from the big cave of the restaurant – opened all year round.

Restaurant Timbaali, near the pedestrian area is the only restaurant in Finland specialized in escargot. During summer time there is also a courtyard, with a lovely terrace that can welcome up to 100 customers. Don’t forget the restaurant is situated on the river bank and during summer time you can benefit of the sunshine and the street turmoil.

Walgren’s, besides the various dishes, offers the best choice of beers in Porvoo – opened all year round. If you happen to travel by boat you can moor at the terrace of the Restaurant Wilhelm A, with a very large choice – opened April till September.

Speaking of boats, you can have dinner on the Boat-Restaurant Gluckauf, renowned for the quality of its menu – opened daily during summer.
