The city of Quito (whose official name is San Francisco de Quito) is the capital city for the country of Ecuador which is situated on the north western region of South America. The city of Quito is situated in the basin of the Guayllabamba River thus making it the perfect place for agriculture business. As per the census of year 2001 the population for the city of Quito was around 1.4 million inhabitants. The huge population of Quito makes it the second largest city in the country of Ecuador. The only city which has more population then the city of Quito is Guayaquil. Recently the importance of this city increased many folds when it was named the headquarters for Union of South American Nations.

The annual average maximum temperature is around 19 degree Celsius while the minimum annual average temperature is around 10 degree Celsius. Due to the considerable altitude of this city and the proximity of this city with the equator, Quito regularly experiences cool climate thus making it the perfect place to visit for any visitor throughout the year.
