The total number of displays in Bindeballe is more than 5000. Apart from being a museum, Bindeballe is also a working general store selling local specialties and souvenirs.

Vejle Sights – Historical Landmarks

Vejle allows tourists to get a closer look at the town’s ancient history. There are many sites in the town which visitors can explore to experience the rich past of Vejle.

St. Nicholas’ Church. This church is considered as the oldest infrastructure in Vejle. This 13th century Gothic church has been modified a number of times. Some of the remarkable elements of St. Nicholas’ church are the Classical sculpture by Jens Hiernoe, the granite façade and the Renaissance pulpit. At the side of the chapel, there is a coffin containing the remains of a queen.

Engelsholm Castle. This castle is marvelously located on the shores of Engelsholm Lake and is delimited by a park and forest. Engelsholm Castle was built during the Renaissance period by Knud Brahe. It was restored expansively during the 1730s by Gerhard de Lichtenberg. Onion Domes, a home farm and a French-style park were added to the splendor of the castle. The Roman church found in the castle is adorned with Baroque furniture.

Vejle Sights – Children’s World

Vejle has places created and established especially for children. These tourist destinations will not just delight the young but also the young at heart.

LEGOLAND. Considered as one of Denmark’s most famous tourist spots, LEGOLAND has 50 thrilling amusements and theme exhibits. More than 50 million pieces of LEGO were used to construct the displays. Givskud Zoo. The zoo is the home of a large number of animals from all over the world. Visitors can explore the zoo through open environments by safari bus or private car. Givskud also has an enormous adventure playground where children can relax or mingle with barn animals.
