Due to the appropriate climate, the fruits and vegetables are always fresh, Nicosia being famous for its citrus gardens that can be enjoyed almost all year long. If you ask any Cypriot about what you should first try when trying a traditional dish from his or her country, he or she will most certainly tell you about the popular “meze”, a dish in which the chief will decide by himself what to serve you with.
