The city of Zagreb is the capital city for the country of Croatia. This huge population makes the city of Zagreb as the largest city in Croatia and the metropolitan area as the only one which exceeds the 1 million mark. The metropolitan area includes the neighboring tiny cities like Velica Gorica, Samobar, Dugo Selo, and Zaprešić. Around 91 percent of the total city population is Croats while rests are from other different races.
As Zagreb is the capital city hence it has to be one of the major contributors to the country’s economy. This city excels in the production of electric machine and devices related to the same, textile, pharmaceutical, chemical, food and drink processing etc. This city is also the international business and trade center for the country of Croatia. 60 percent of the total Croatian profit comes from the companies that are located in this city of Zagreb. Lastly, it is also the major hub which acts as the crossroad between Eastern Europe and Central Europe.
