Within the city buses are very popular as well as taxis which offer good service at reasonable prices.

Linyi cuisine is characteristic for Lu Cuisine and mixes a wide range of ingredients from cereals, vegetables, seafood, lamb meat and different spices. Some of the most common dishes you could have here are the carp with sweet & sour sauce, mutton and scallion, fried oysters, different types of tofu, Dezhou Stewed Chicken, meat dumplings and so on. A typical ingredient for local dishes is the home made vinegar which has a darker color and a different taste, much appreciated throughout the country.
