Lanzhou History

During 81 BC, Lanzhou became the center of the Jincheng county and the Jincheng commandery on the later part during the Han Dynasty (206 BC-220 AD). The name of Jincheng was changed into Yunwu. The city was being called as the Golden City and it became the main linkage to the ancient Northern Silk Road and a relevant historic Yellow River passage site on the time of the first millennium BC. read more
