Chengdu China Overview

Chengdu China is one of the few cities that has always been located in the same place and has always had the same name. It has had many nick names, but Chengdu has always been the official name. The city itself has been in existence for thousands of years.

It is known for its mild climate and diverse industries. The main domains that boost its economy are medicine, food, machinery, and information technology. Many larger corporations, such as IBM and Intel, have main branches here. Chengdu has spent many years trying to build itself into the economic hub it is today. Chengdu is also known for being one of the lowest sunshine states there is. In any given year, it has fewer sunny days than London.

The people in Chengdu usually have a preference for spicy and hot flavored foods. They are also know as a group that loves to party. Chengdu has more tea houses and bars than even Shanghai, even though Shanghai has twice the number of locals. The general population is usually referred to as being laid back and for knowing how to stop and enjoy life. Most women of Chengdu are known to be sweet and charming. The Chengdu people strive to be a calm, polite, and friendly group of people.

You could say some roads begin in Chengdu. Chengdu is the starting point for many major highways. Chengdu is also the home of the Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport; known as the busiest airport in the nation. Schooling is also a major factor in Chengdu; there are over fifteen universities that offer a bachelor's degree in the nation. Chengdu has recently been named one of the top 4 most livable cities, and as one of the top ten cities to invest in, out of a poll of 280 cities.
