Chungking Nightlife, China

The nightlife in Chungking is vibrant. There are a number of bars, clubs, and discos, as well as numerous restaurants and shows. For some of the best bars and clubs, check out the following places:

Dee Dees is a pub with an English flavor, with warm and friendly staff, and darts.

It you are looking for something with a little more spice, try the Falling Club. It is one of the last of the house clubs in China that is still acceptable. But about the time it starts getting late, the crowd can begin to get wild. It has a great mix of music and a large dance floor.

There are also numerous karaoke clubs and discos throughout Chungking. If you can’t get your fill of dancing, consider walking to the square. Many locals walk to this area and dance in the evening. Everyone dances as freely as possible, and it can be a great time just to people watch. This is a great place to experience some of the history and culture of Chungking.

If you’re looking for a great dinner, try the 18 Stairs Teahouse. From the outside of the building, it doesn’t look like it is a Teahouse. It looks very small and only one story. If you walk inside though, you will find an additional three stories downstairs. It is a wonderfully decorated restaurant, with antiques, bamboo, woodcarvings, and Buddha’s. This is very nice place to grab a break after haggling at the Antique Market down the road.

This city is so large and sprawling that it has something for everyone. If you are looking for a historical or cultural event, you will not be disappointed. The city is a bustling, heavily populated metropolis, and as such, will provide some of the best nightlife you can find. Consider Chungking on your next getaway.
