Natal sights and landmarks guide

Natal provides a unique holiday experience to all. There is a lot to do for people of all ages and thus it makes it a great family holiday getaway.  If you are into discovering history, there are museums, if you love to try out different cuisines, there are great restaurants and for simple leisure, your Natal holiday can be made complete with sun and sand at the exotic beaches.

Incidentally, Natal has the largest aquarium in Brazil. This aquarium consists of around 60 marine species. Among the species you can get to see everything from piranhas to shrimps, lobsters, octopus, sea horses and even penguins.  Ever thought of touching a shark? You can at this aquarium because it has some ‘friendly’ sharks that allow you to come really close.

Natal has lovely beaches all along its coastline. Praia do Forte is great for scuba diving as it is surrounded by coral reefs. The small natural holes in the reefs are a delight to watch when they are filled with marine life, fish, squid etc. Water sports make Natal very popular among travelers.

 If you are looking for more fun in water, Natal also has amusing water parks for you to splash around. Do try the Lagoa de Jucuma Aerobunda that would make you go speeding down a chillingly long and high aerial wire into the sea. 

Once in Natal, one should not miss the world’s biggest Cashew-nut tree. It is so big that it could cover many football pitches. Natal is indeed a lovely place to see interesting animals and plants as it is a part of Brazilian rainforest.
