Salzburg Nightlife – Bars And Eateries

The Rudolfskai area of Salzburg has the maximum number of watering holes; here you have the Altstadt Keller, O'Malley's Irish Pub, Podium, Stiegl Hell,

Vis à Vis. The Altstadt Keller is a good choice if you are looking for something to eat; you will get soups, sandwiches, sausages, omelets and pub grubs. You will definitely like the Austrian-feel of the pub. O'Malley's Irish Pub brings you authentic Irish food and Guinness and the Stiegl Hell has some of the best Stiegl beer on their offerings. While Podium offers live musical entertainment, Vis à Vis is more of a café than a pub.

Of course, there are bars and pubs in other Salzburg-addresses. Augustiner Bräu, at Gstättengasse 13, is an early 17th century bar (operating since 1621). Here beer is stored in wooden barrels and is served to you in stone mugs.

As said, Salzburg has a lively music scene with huge fan-followings for rock, pop, jazz, etc. Befitting its name, Rockhouse (at Schallmooser Hauptstrasse 46) is a venue where live rock and pop concerts are held. Jazz-devotees can catch live shows at the Jazz It Bar Music Club (at Elisabethstrasse11/5).

If you are one of those who would rather like to listen to a variety of music, you can walk up to places like the Shamrock Irish Pub or the Stadt Kaffee. The Shamrock Irish Pub, at Rudolfskai 12, is a huge hit with college-going crowd and you will also love it here. Stadt Kaffee presents a really invigorating music scene and is frequented by locals.
