Perth presents several nightlife adventure spots. Tourists can choose evenings of food fancies at several restaurants, enjoy classic art performances or hop to some of Perth’s brimming nightclubs.

Food and Dining

 

Perth has an assortment of restaurants and cafes that serve the freshest food delights that are not too craving for the budget. There are also varieties of upscale and fine dining restaurants to choose from.

 

If you’re craving for seafood, you won’t go wrong with Mead’s Fish House which only serves the freshest seafood produce and delectable fish and seafood dishes. Jessica’s is also a favorite and one of the city’s finest seafood restaurants over the years. They serve fresh and succulent seafood delights while guests can enjoy the fantastic sceneries and view of the city river.

 

Perth also offers world class restaurants with world class specialties. Many Chinese, Vietnamese, Italian, and Greek restaurants are located in Northbridge.

 

The Emperor’s Court is a multi-awarded Chinese restaurant that serves authentic and traditional Chinese, Cantonese and Szechuan dishes at its best.  For a taste of Italian in Perth, Pronto characterizes the modern chic Italian bistro. Menus range from Italian specialty dishes to traditional Italian dessert treats. Italian-style eateries like DOME, Old Papa’s and Gino’s also offer excellent and less pricey meals.

 

For more budget-friendly foodstuff, the DOME is just right for any budget. It is Perth’s homegrown chain of cafes which serves pasta, sandwiches, cakes and coffee- some of the local’s favorites. There is also Fast Eddy’s, Vulture’s and Uncle Bill, which all serve late night eats at Perth.

 

You won’t enjoy Perth to the fullest unless you get to hang out in one of the many alfresco cafes along the South Terrace. Guests can try several excellent coffee choices in these long lines of cafes.

Bars, Pubs and Clubs

 

The city’s entertainment and nightlife hub is Northbridge, specifically the area of James Street and Lake Street.  

Situated in a hundred year-old building, the Brass Monkey takes on the traditional pub and is one of Perth’s most popular spots. It features great music, has several bars and also serves Australian cuisine.

 

The Subiaco Hotel, or what’s locally known as “Subi” is a famous historic club that has stylish cafes and serves great cocktails.

The Metro City is a place to start the party. With ten bars on three floor levels, it suits any type of partygoer. It’s full on the weekend nights and surely a local favorite hang-out.

The Metropolis and Paramount are two nightlife spots to watch out for. The Metropolis features four dance floors and eight bars on different levels. Both are great places to party ‘til dawn.

The Rise Nightclub is among Perth’s funky dance clubs with a hi-tech nightclub setting and groovy music to complete the night’s bash.

Get a load of the Salsa beat at The Deen. Not your average local club, it is marked as Perth’s Salsa center. The earlier hours are strictly for salsa aficionados but more lively tropical rhythms usher the later hours of the night.

 

The Aberdeen Hotel offers six different zones. Whether you want an energy rush on the dance floor or a dose of live music, you’re definitely in the zone when you’re at this night spot.

 

Classic Entertainment

 

Perth also has more relaxing entertainment venues.

 

Watch classic and fine performances of the West Australian Opera and the West Australian Ballet shown regularly at His Majesty’s Theatre. The Black Swan Theatre Company also features plays around Perth.

 

Classical music enthusiasts can catch the West Australian Symphony Orchestra at the Perth Concert Hall, the Kings Park on their summer concerts and the Art Gallery. The Perth Concert Hall also features acoustic performances by some of the best local artists.
