Tirana nightlife

Most probably, you won’t find Tirana nightlife in the top of the trendiest clubs or hottest DJ parties. But I don’t mean that it’s better to stick with your hotel’s restaurant or, even worse, spend your night in the room while in Tirana. The capital of Albania has plenty of nice bars and pubs, where you can have a drink, make some friends and learn about the Albanian culture.

Tirana Nightlife – Restaurants

The Albanian cuisine has all the savor of Mediterranean food, plus the discrete influence of Turkish and Middle East gastronomy. You can enjoy this wonderful mix of flavors in places like: Serenata, Sarajet, Era, Ballkoni Dajtit or Vila 31. Typical Albanian dishes include ‘tave me gofte’ (spicy meatballs), stuffed eggplants, ‘lakror’. The Italian cuisine is also popular and easy to get in Tirana, as Italian restaurants and pizzerias can be seen everywhere: Villa Logoreci, Casa di Pasta, Il Pasaatore, La Travernetta.

In warm summer nights or clear afternoons, you can choose some restaurant with a view, like Dreri, Lion Park, Nena Mbretershe or Juvenilja Castelo. As their names suggest, all these restaurants are situated in the proximity of a park, and most of them have a terrace and offer a combination of Albanian and Italian dishes.

Tirana Nightlife – Bars and Clubs

Tirana’s nightlife is mainly concentrated around two or three neighborhoods. The most popular with both tourists and locals is the Bllok. Here you will find some elegant clubs, cozy lounges and social bars: it is the favorite meeting place for business men and young professionals.

If you are looking for a more vibrant, noisy atmosphere, you can try the Rruga Elbasan, where most Tirana students like to go out and party. Lollipop, Venue Dance Club, Sharm Club or Canon have just the right kind of music and atmosphere that will rise your energy level and make you dance till your feet get soar.

Tirana is a small city, so you’ll easily find a suitable bar or pub by yourself, just by walking down the main streets. However, if you feel that some suggestions might be useful, the list of Tirana’s most popular bars includes: Rock’n’Roll, Flex, Living Room, Harley Davidson Bar and Carl’s Bistro. There is also the possibility, especially in summer, to go somewhere outside Tirana like some town at the seaside. You’ll be surprised to find loud discos and pool parties, where foreign tourist and students dance together and enjoy the nice breeze. And if by any chance Tirana doesn’t fit your expectations, you can just take a two or three hour drive to a neighboring country like Italy or Macedonia, and try something else like Bari Nightlife or Skopie Nightlife.
