Travel in China - The Sanlitun Bar Street
Sanlitun Bar Street is one of the most charming entertainment areas for night life. Numerous foreigners and rich Chinese are the main customers. It is also very popular with the celebrities coming from performing and artistic field. Some say that the Sanlitun Bar street is a happy land for lovers, some say it is a platform for overnight romance, some say it is an island for the lonely, others say it is a place to dump one's emotional rubbish. Whatever you use it for; Sanlitun has become a fashionable and popular place for people's nightlife.

Sanlitun Bar Street is located in eastern Beijing in Chaoyang district, with a total lengthen 260 meters, covering an area of 1648 square meters. This street is adjacent with the embassy area which is scattered with 79 embassies including Canada, Australia, France, and Germany and so on so the foreigners are the earlier and steady customers. It is said that more than 40% Beijing's bars are scattered with the Sanlitun Bar street and its surrounding areas. Sanlitun is the earliest bar complex in Beijing with its first bar appeared in 1989. According to a report, prior to 1996, the foreign customers account for 95 percent. Along with increasingly famous reputation, the customers for this street gradually expand to people from performing and art field as well as travels at home and abroad. Most of famous singers have regarded here as their career jumping-off point.

Sanlitun Bar Street is interspersed with a number of bars with different styles ranging from Europe to Asian, modern to nostalgic, tranquil to noisy. Speaking of the Sanlitun Bar Street, it is necessary to mention about the Boys and Girls Club, which is one of the largest and best bars. The club has its own band that gives performance nightly, attracting people from different countries. One of the famous singer, Siqingerile, comes from the Mongolian ethnic group have performed here before she gained her nationwide reputation. Different from the noise of the Boys and Girls Club, the Comma Bar is a tranquil stopover for your tired soul. Bar Blu is British style bar, an ideal place for carnival, dances and parties, while Jazz Ya is fashioned in Japan and you can enjoy Japanese cartoon and taste Japanese dishes. With its indoor decor is of cowboy taste and fashioned in the style of the old American West, the Day Off is the only disco bar in Beijie. With so many different choices, you are certain to find anything your taste buds are looking for.
