The ride to Monastir was in comparison to the distance before quite easy, because we were in the vicinity of the only highway in Tunisia, so it was no problem to get there.

Monastir is like the others also a town of tourism. It's quite loud, spoiled and not very nice. Things you can do there are very few. We watched the middle aged castle in the centre and the beautiful view you have from the top of the castle.

But at this time we were so fed up of ugly places and "friendly" people, that we didnt spent much time there and left soon back to our hotel at Hammamet.

One day in El Munastir - Apr 1, 2009, by Wazling

The attractions of El Djem - Apr 1, 2009, by Wazling
This city would not be worth a visit if there wasnt the famous amphitheatre of El Djem there. Very well preserved, it's worth to take a look and a couple of pictures. But the modern village isn't really worth a visit. There are only some... Read more »
