At about 60 kilometers from Oradea are Suncuius and Vadu Crisului, two towns very close to each other. We went by car until we reached the sign indicating that we are in Suncuius, and immediately after that we stopped at the margin of the road. I was a bit worried about the car because no other cars were parked there, but we hadn't have a choice so we left it there.

We went back near the railways and walk about 10 minutes until a tunnel. Before the tunnel there are signs on the trees for the hikers showing different trip opportunities. We chose a longer one. The trail was a bit tough but every now and then there was a point where you could see the whole surrounding area.

When we reached the tunnel, before setting off for the real trip, I said that I wouldn't like to go through the tunnel. So when I was really tired and I asked when will we reach our destination the brother of my boyfriend said that we only avoid the tunnel by climbing on the mountain above it, because I didn't want to go through it... :) (on out way back we had to go through it but it wasn't so bad:p)

When we reached the peak we were really tired so we sat down and had a little picnic and also we took some photos. The scenery was really nice.

We were lucky because while we were there it didn't rain. The trail leading down to the town was a bit difficult, so if it had been wet I really don't know how would have we made it.

The manor seems to have been built in 1806 and reconstructed in 1878 after a devastating fire. In 1925 there was another restoring made by another owner with ample works at the roof.Mioveni, Sights – Monasteries and Churches Vierosi Monastery is a simple but rich in history art monument, located at the fringe of the wood, a witness of the many Christian generations living near the walls of this saint place. After ending our hiking trip we walked a bit to a bridge. We went to the other side because we knew that a waterfall can be seen there. We were here some years ago in winter when everything was covered with snow... it was wonderful :) But... Read more »
