by We arrived to Sibiu (in german it's Hermannstadt) in the afternoon. Sibiu has been chosen to be the European Capital of Culture in the year of 2007 together with Luxembourg.
The city is beautiful and amazingly clean compared to other romanian cities, with a wonderful city center. All of the buildings (I think) were renovated, there are flowers planted everywhere and anytime you go you will find some kind of program organized at the city square.

Sibiu is a small and safe city, but if you don’t want to adventure outside the old city walls, it’s ok, because most cafes and bars can be found here, anyway. So are City Café, Melange Café, Down Town, Jazzy Bar, Centrum Bar, Atrium Café, Haller Café or Go-In. Much of Sibiu nightlife revolves around the pubs and terraces located in the two squares (Piata Mare and Piata Mica), as well as on Nicolae Balcescu and Emil Cioran streets.
