Padis is the region located 20 km east wards from the former miner city of Pietroasa. It is a great spot for all kinds of visitors. There are nice places for a barbeque in the nature or walkrtips and hiking.

We visited in the Padis region the "Fire Glacier" ("Ghetarul Focului"), the "Ponor Castles" ("Cetatile Ponorului") and the "Ponor Valley" (Poiana Pomorului"), they are all great sites and kids love to escape in the wilderness.

In the Second World War, Iasi was to face even more dramatic events: approximately 2000 Jews were killed in the summer of 1941, in what is known... Read more »
