This kind of beach outing that my students and I have was planned around 1 week or so. That's how short noticed it is.

Anyways, 3 of my students were talking about banana ride and how cool it is and all of us should ride on it. They were talking about 32 USD for 30min ride on the banana ride (in reality its only for 15mins.) I did not say yes or even give them a no to banana ride.

However, almost everytime we discuss our beach outing, the banana ride is always mentioned. That really did struck me that they were so eager to have that banana ride.

Even when we ride on our vehicle, they were insisting to have that banana ride until we reached the beach resort. My students are really persistent, they will never stop unless I give in. Still I remained firm and did not say a yes or a no.

Did I agree to their request???

Oh you have shark phobia? You would surely enjoy the banana ride. The sea looks dark blue already and I know it's very deep:) I forgot about the sharks when we had the banana ride, I was just scared to fall.

Tagaytay City History

Did it occur to you what was the origin of the name Tagaytay? The name Tagaytay was legendary in derivation. By word of mouth, it was believed by many that a father and his son were out hunting wild boars. They chased a wild boar but, to their surprise, the animal attacked them. The boar came after the father and charged towards him. Meanwhile, the son who was watching the whole scene the entire time, shouted to his father “taga itay!” countless times. “Taga” means “to cut” and “itay” means father. Both words are Tagalog, the national language of the Philippines and spoken in Tagaytay City. The shouts of the boy reverberated... Read more »
