Laxmi Dhakal, an official of the Nepalese Home Ministry confirmed that 42 people were killed (the most in Kathmandu and Dolakha) and at least 1,117 injured in the magnitude 7.3 earthquake.
Kathmandu international airport was closed for half an hour.
Due to the former earthquakes are still many rescue teams and aid worker in the region, maybe this time the rescue work will be much more effective.
Because of the two recent earthquakes that shattered the country recently, it is not safe to visit Nepal's affected regions at the moment. Only rescue teams, doctors and volunteers travel there at the moment. The first quake killed over 8,000 people and destroyed hundreds of thousands of buildings and there are no exact dates about the devastation caused by the second one. Camp Everest was closed after the first earthquake killed 18 climbers and all expeditions for the following months were suspended. If you had Nepal on your destination list, you should postpone your journey until the country is stable and recovered.
