Having great time in Salerno, Italy

Salerno's maproman sea villa, directly next to the sea

It was time for some sea break. But also there was history. A beautiful ancient roman sea villa was located there and of course we listened again to many reports before we could relax.

Also interesting was our place were we rested for going to the sea. As you can perhaps see, we're lying on the remnants of the sea villa. And close to it there were also some remnants of the rooms. It was great!

Wow, you listened to many reports before you could even relax? It will be oh so boring for those who don't have any love for history but to those who love history, every word that come out will eventually be music to their ears.

To experience going to the city’s holy place, the Basilica di San Nicola is the right place to be. This place was built in the 12th century which was intended to house the relics of St. Nicholas. The bones were stolen from Myra by the sailors of Bari and believed that they have a power of mysterious healing. Lots of pilgrims are frequently visiting the basilica coming from different places like, Greece, Balkans, and Russia, as they considered St. Nicholas as essential for their faith. The Castello Svevo is a place which originally began as a Roman citadel, which is renovated and improved by the overpowering Normans. The Norman design was... Read more »
